Everybody Likes Chicken

March has been an exciting month for Bok Bok Cottage! Before you open up our hens March Adventures, make note that our feathery friends have their egg production posted on the sidebar of this blog. And now....Mrs. Olsen presents....passion, intrigue, trickery, and tragedy that happened in a springtime March, in the shadows of the mountains, at Bok Bok Cottage.

In March, the snow finally melted and the sun teased us with a few unexpected visits.

We're not sure whether to have a funeral or eat them.

I loved the photo story.

I think a sunny, rich yellow-mango rather, would be lovely on your door. Bok Bok cottage is so cute!

Eat them and have the funeral at dinner...however, I'd suggest keeping it an inside secret between just you the mister. That's too bad. I love to read LGH's comments because I can always imagine them written at the top of an English paper.

Eat them. I enjoyed many a pork product as a kid after we helped load our fatted-up pigs into my dads truck. I never did figure out where he took them....

One can see your family's joy at the arrival of spring. Everything is more alive, except the things that are more dead, of course. Ammon once trained a cute little lamb for 4H, then it got hauled off with the others to the auction. For the chickens, my dad built mobile coops- you could lift them, one person on each side, and scoot the chickens along to a spot of fresh pasture. The chickens got as

Sorry Jenny...everyone wants to eat them. They had a good life though.

Actually, we did NOT eat them. Simply because they were pretty injured and we worried about internal bleeding / infection / grossness.
